Registered Nurse - Cambridge (3 days a week)
Just got your state results back and ready to launch into your nursing career where you can work with whānau in the community? Congratulations! Maybe you're an experienced nurse wanting to give yourself the gift of a new adventure this Christmas?
We have a thorough onboarding and induction programme which will ensure you're well supported and precepted. This is a great space for proactive nurses who want to work with children and whānau and support wellness and health promotion and education to keep our tamariki healthy, happy and safe.
We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join us on a 0.6FTE basis in Cambridge.
Our pro-equity journey means we are committed to removing barriers to ensure that the most vulnerable whānau have easy access to our care – being at the forefront of ensuring all pēpi growing up in Aotearoa have what they need to thrive, isn’t that why you got into healthcare?
Working with an eclectic range of whānau, you’ll build relationships around the community meeting with babies under 5 and their village through their journey. Ensuring that their little ones are thriving and proactively referring through to appropriate services if any concerns are identified.
The variety that comes with conducting home visits and facilitating clinics will develop your clinical and assessment skills and ability to work independently (with the support of a team and leader just a phone call away).
We are holistic in our care, which means often working closely with multiple agencies and specialists. While it will not be up to you alone to make the difference, your collaborative style and ability to leverage other community support and our Whānau Āwhina Plunket services will make all the difference to your community.
Pay rates for our Registered Nurses are between $62,911 ($31.84/hr) to $90,099 ($45.60/hour) depending on experience
All pēpi are different, so you will be comfortable asking questions and conveying information with adaptability to ensure your advice suits the needs of the whānau. Our mahi should complement whānau strengths, so a non-judgmental attitude will come naturally to you.
While the autonomy of working on your own and home visiting may be attractive to you, we place what is good for whānau at the forefront of everything we do, and you will share this value.
Your training and life experience will have provided you the resilience, insight and relational manner needed to effectively connect and partner with whānau in the full range of environments that children grow up in here in Aotearoa.
To be successful in this role you will:
* Hold valid the right to work in Aotearoa
* Be a Registered Nurse
* Hold or be able to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate
* Hold a restricted or full clean NZ Drivers Licence
* A 12 month Post Graduate Certificate in Well Child Tamariki or similar (we will pay for this)
* A Monday – Friday role, with some flexibility to work around you
* 'Well Health Day': the ability to use sick leave for a proactive planned health day
* Career pathways for leaders, educators and head office positions
