Job Description
Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning the production of finished goods and sub-assemblies to meet customer demand efficiently. You will utilize forecasting tools and ERP systems to generate production plans that optimize plant performance, balance costs, and minimize obsolescence. Additionally, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure seamless production planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage production plans to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
2. Monitor forecast trends and inventory levels to drive efficient production schedules.
3. Work closely with Demand Planners, Production Teams, and Sales Order Processing to optimize production schedules and meet customer expectations.
4. Chair and lead daily and weekly production planning meetings, ensuring clear communication across departments.
5. Identify potential availability issues and proactively communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
6. Measure and report conformance to production plans to enhance service levels and minimize waste.
7. Continuously analyze and refine production planning processes to improve efficiency and plant performance.
8. Collaborate with Material Planners to align raw material inventory with production needs.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience: Strong background in FMCG supply chain and production planning.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., IFS/NAV/SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
3. Analytical Ability: Ability to work with large data sets, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
4. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams.
5. Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with the ability to react swiftly to changes and resolve issues effectively.
6. Commercial Awareness: Understanding of cost efficiency and supply chain optimization.
7. Qualifications: A background in Mathematics or Business-related fields is advantageous.
