Jenson Fisher are delighted to be partnering once again with our long-standing, commercial client to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. In this role you will be a key member of a small finance team and you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate your experience in a fast paced, enjoyable working environment. Our client are looking for a forward thinking individual who is highly motivated by nature and possesses excellent IT skills, with Sage and Excel particularly advantageous. In addition, you will be able to work equally well both using your own initiative or as part of a team, and on a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:
- Post daily cash receipts and issuing sales invoices.
- Monthly reconciling of both the purchase and sales ledger.
- Establish and maintain processes to ensure timely payment of suppliers.
- Bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.
- Processing expense claims and calculation and payment of agents commissions.
- Completion of BACS payments including international payments.
- Respond to finance related customer queries both via email and telephone.
- Complete EEC/Intrastat declarations.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT return.
- Compile and process payroll weekly and monthly, including SSP/SMP calculations.
- Assist auditors with preparation for annual audit.
- Month End Reporting.
