KAP Technical Biggleswade CNC / Manual Machinist We are looking for a skilled and dependable CNC/Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, technical expertise, and the ability to work independently. Using both conventional and CNC machines, you should have a solid understanding of trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra, along with excellent computer and communication skills. Physical stamina and a keen interest in precision manufacturing are essential. To succeed in this role, you should be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn new techniques. Strong critical thinking, time management, and leadership skills are highly valued. Key Responsibilities: Read, interpret, and follow instructions to assemble equipment and products accurately. Operate and control CNC and manual machines efficiently. Conduct inspections of equipment, materials, and finished products. Analyze issues and implement effective solutions. Maintain clear, honest communication with the team. Ensure a safe and organized work environment. Stay updated with the latest machining techniques and technologies. Requirements: Certificate in Machine Shop Technology or Machine Tool Technology. 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment (preferred). Recognized apprenticeship or City & Guilds training (preferred). Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills. Proficiency in reading CAD drawings, symbols, and tolerances. Strong mathematical skills. Attention to detail, self-motivation, and a team-oriented mindset. Hours & Pay: Monday – Friday, 40-hour workweek.
