1:1 Autism Support
We are pleased to partner with a dynamic and supportive school in Birmingham, which is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic 1:1 Autism Support to join their dedicated team to start in January 2025.
As Autism Support, you’ll play a crucial role in helping students achieve their full potential in an inclusive, supportive environment, making a positive impact on their educational journey.
This role is working in a primary school in Sutton Coldfield and suited to a candidate with a keen passion for education and learning, confident creating a positive learning environment that promotes student growth and development.
About The Role:
* Enthusiastic about education and teaching
* Provide 1:1, 2:1 or small group support to students with autism
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to adapt learning strategies
* Ensuring safeguarding of children
* Be open to personal care
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team
* Assist students in their educational, emotional and social development
* Be creative with activities to promote learning and inclusivity
About You:
* Experience supporting children with autism
* Previous experience in education environment or possess appropriate transferable skills to support children with additional needs
* Patience, empathy and a positive approach to support
* Full time availability
* Behaviour management skills
* Ability to use initiative
* Be creative with activities to promote learning and inclusivity
