Salary £44,711 - £49,764 Per annum | 37 hours per week | Full time, Fixed term | West Lancashire | Occupational Therapy Community
Lancashire County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapy Team Manager to lead our Adult Social Care team. This role is pivotal in providing outcome-focused assessment services to adults with physical disabilities or age-related problems, ensuring they receive the highest standards of care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of occupational therapists delivering professional assessments and interventions.
* Promote and maintain independence through specialist equipment and adaptations.
* Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to achieve the best outcomes for individuals and their carers.
* Provide leadership, supervision, and support to team members.
* Contribute to the development of the occupational therapy service within adult social care.
* Represent occupational therapy in adult social care with partner agencies.
* Lead and contribute to regular team meetings, including case progression and training sessions.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
* Current HCPC registration.
* Minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience.
* Proven experience in setting priorities and managing competing workload priorities.
* Experience working effectively with other agencies and professionals.
* Experience managing and supervising staff and resources.
* Knowledge of complex conditions, equipment provision, risk assessment, and safe handling planning.
* Thorough understanding of legislation, policies, and procedures relating to occupational therapy within a local authority.
Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to set work objectives and standards, monitor performance, and provide learning opportunities.
* Commitment to improving practice standards and personal competencies through CPD, supervision, and performance management.
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
* IT skills and the ability to record effectively.
* Ability to motivate and lead individuals and teams.
* Ability to liaise and build effective relationships with other services/agencies/managers.

* Essential car user post; the post holder must be able to drive and have a car at their disposal.
