Join the AA Insurance Finance Team as a key contributor, providing financial analysis and insights to our Financial Services (FS) and Lease businesses. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Finance, partnering with both the Financial Services and AA Lease management teams. You will also collaborate extensively with divisional finance teams to ensure objectives are met, results are comprehended, and the future impact of trading decisions is fully assessed and agreed upon before implementation.
What will I be doing?
1. Partner with the FS and Lease Operational Management teams to ensure financial performance is understood, gaps are identified, results are challenged, and value-adding analysis is conducted as needed.
2. Lead the creation of a comprehensive financial and operational reporting suite, including Management Information, to facilitate sound decision-making.
3. Develop a robust business model to collate trends, draw insights, and enhance forecasting accuracy.
4. Assist the Finance Reporting team in ensuring accurate month-end reporting, continuously improving speed, accuracy, and insight.
5. Conduct variance analysis against forecasts, budgets, and trends to understand monthly performance, and identify and implement approved process improvements across business models.
6. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, manage capex submissions, cost-benefit calculations, and benefits trackers, ensuring alignment, accuracy, and timely submission through project gates and committees.
What do I need?
1. At least CIMA part-qualified or an equivalent accounting qualification.
2. An innate curiosity & desire to understand and challenge.
3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Commercially aware and minded.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
6. Knowledge of the Insurance / Financial Services industry is an advantage.
