Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Mental Health - High Wycombe
This is a permanent opportunity and an excellent entry-level role for psychology graduates seeking long-term careers within educational or clinical psychology.
Ideal for Psychology or Health and Social Care Graduates before committing to an MSc/Doctorate and Research Project.
This role will allow you to see a range of therapists, SEN, ABA Tutors, and Mental Health specialists at work.
This role is all about giving the children a sense of purpose. Can you make the children's lives just that little bit better?
Responsibilities:
1. Support students with Autism and various learning needs.
2. Work alongside OTs and Specialist SEN Teachers.
3. Focus on delivering key and personal/functional skills.
4. Assist in creating a tailored curriculum for each student.
Details:
• Intermediate learning levels
• Focus on ADHD, Asperger's, OCD, Dyslexia, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges
• Outstanding teaching and support teams in place, creating a wonderfully holistic and positive atmosphere from EYFS to KS4
• Classes of 6-8 students ranging in ability
• £460-£500 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
This LSA role will put you into challenging, sometimes anti-social contexts that will build your foundational experience. De-escalation techniques and the language around it are incredibly important!
