POST TITLE: IT Technical Sales Specialist
REPORTS TO: Head of Infrastructure and Software Sales
LOCATION: Main Office
ROLE PURPOSE:
As an IT Technical Sales Specialist, you will understand clients’ technology needs and design tailored solutions. You’ll collaborate with clients and technical partners to ensure successful IT deployments, requiring a strong knowledge of technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to service. You’ll also source hardware, securing the best prices and lead times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with technology trends, products, and services.
* Client Engagement: Understand clients' needs alongside the Head of Sales and build strong relationships. Conduct technical demonstrations.
* Technical Expertise: Recommend IT infrastructure, networks, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions.
* Technical Support: Provide post-implementation support and troubleshoot issues.
* Solution Design: Collaborate on custom technology solutions and produce Bills of Materials (BoM).
* Training: Guide clients on using solutions and complete vendor training during downtime.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure solutions meet client expectations through quality checks.
* Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities for personal, team, and solution improvement.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
* Qualified in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, IT) or equivalent experience.
* Proficient in partner products (hardware, software, cloud, networks).
* Sales experience or a strong understanding of sales principles.
* Committed to client satisfaction and service excellence.
* Project management experience and vendor certifications are a plus.
