FTE £27,006 - £29,221 including London Fringe - Actual salary £23,099 - £24,994
Full Time 37 hours per week - 39 weeks + 25 days holiday
Main Purpose of the Role
The main purpose of the Trust’s Admissions Officer is to ensure effective and accurate processes in line with the Admissions Code, to enable the admission and transition of students to Reception, Year 7, Year 12 and in-year. This will be undertaken in liaison with the Assistant Headteacher: Lower School, The Headteacher: primary, the Head of School: Secondary and the Deputy Headteacher: Director of Sixth Form.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for the administration of admissions to the school at primary, secondary, Sixth Form transfer, and in-year admissions.
2. To be responsible for the administration of admissions related events.
3. To be responsible for the administration of all appeals for places at the Trust in liaison with the Appeals Team at the Local Authority.
4. To provide administrative support for the fulfilment of legal commitments in respect of admissions and to provide administrative and strategic support for the presentation of the school’s case at all appeals.
5. Prepare analysis and provide evaluation of data and reports to support discussion and decision making by the Governors’ Admissions Sub-Committee and Student Welfare Committee.
6. To carry out other, various, secretarial and clerical duties at the request of the Office Manager on a daily basis.
7. Management of aptitude tests; including the organisation of the tests and dissemination of results. Monitor the participation in Music and Sport of these students who joined the school under these criteria.
