Reimagine the possibilities Your role and responsibilities An exciting opportunity to join the Suffolk SENDIASS team as a Senior SEND Information, Advice and Support Worker, working across the county (base negotiable). You will: offer information, advice and support to colleagues, partners and to children, young people and families individually and through group sessions share responsibility for managing incoming contacts and colleagues will tap into your knowledge and expertise have line management responsibility, including supporting colleagues with their learning and development and managing more complex issues help to embed effective service practice and quality standards to make sure families receive high quality information and advice, using a range of evaluation tools support the proactive approach the service is taking in providing accessible information and advice to encourage participation, self-advocacy and empowerment lead, or be involved with, co-production relating to a specific project or area of focus thrive when busy and enjoy a variety of tasks. You will need An in-depth knowledge of SEND law and processes would be beneficial, though your passion for the role alongside your willingness to learn the law is more important. We would encourage you to apply even if you don’t have all the specific technical experience. SENDIASS team members are required to undertake accredited SEND legal training. We’re looking for people who can: readily understand complex information confidently communicate with families, colleagues and professionals, in written and spoken forms and in a way that is easy for families to understand.
