Job Title: Chartered Building Surveyor
Location: Glasgow Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a variety of building surveying projects, providing expert advice on property and construction matters, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advising clients about building/property issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability, building regulation and restoration matters.
* Deliver projects from inception to completion to meet the projects objectives.
* Dilapidations and negotiating the repair works or a financial settlement if required.
* Managing projects and/or multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience of defect analysis, undertaking building surveys and producing professional reports.
* To diligently handle all instructions and to maintain comprehensive records for all work undertaken.
* Carry out surveys, inspections, schedules, provide professional services and the management of schemes.
* Contract Administration.
* Dilapidation Assessment Reports on behalf of Landlord and Tenant.
* Schedules of Condition.
* Assisting with managing and training a small team
Qualifications:
* Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* MRICS qualified.
* 5 years postgraduate experience in building surveying.
* Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office).
