Our client, European mid-market private equity firm, is looking for an Investment Associate in London, UK.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities in the consumer sector.
2. Support the deal origination process through networking, industry outreach, and proactive sourcing efforts.
3. Assist in the evaluation of potential investment targets by conducting financial analysis, building complex financial models, and performing due diligence.
4. Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal discussions and external stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with the investment team in negotiating and structuring investment transactions, including drafting term sheets and supporting in deal negotiations.
6. Work closely with portfolio company management teams to develop and execute value creation strategies, including operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and growth initiatives.
7. Monitor the performance of portfolio companies through regular financial analysis, operational reviews, and market assessments.
8. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market developments relevant to the consumer sector and investment strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, engineering, law, or equivalent.
2. 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, transaction services, or related field.
3. Strong financial analysis (and modeling) skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and financial statements.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, management teams, and external stakeholders.
5. Proactive mindset with strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
6. Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all business dealings.
