Job Description:
* Assist in the supervision and support of Swim Teachers.
* Ensure consistent practices and procedures are adopted with a strong focus on teaching quality, risk management, and excellent customer service.
* Manage feedback from members and patrons, and provide feedback to customers, fellow team members, and management where necessary.
* Coordinate assessments and promotions, ensuring appropriate feedback is provided to Parents/Guardians and School Teachers where necessary.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the skills required for each level and provide appropriate age and skill-related drills to stimulate learning and development.
* Provide shift reports to the WynSwim Coordinators, highlighting any training needs.
* Required to perform a minimum of one in-water teaching shift per week.
* Availability to work daytime, evenings, and weekends.
Skills and Experience:
To be successful in this position, you must possess the following skills and attributes:
* Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Qualification.
* Current Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
* Current Provide First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Confidence to enforce appropriate behaviour standards of guests.
* Communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
* Demonstrated experience providing leadership to a team.
* Promote development of infants and toddlers in an aquatic environment (Desirable).
* Assist participants with a disability during aquatic activities (Desirable).
* Experience with RLS Swim and Survive Program (Desirable).
* Working with Children Check Employee Victorian (or willingness to obtain).
* National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
