The Role
Britannia Global Markets is looking to recruit a Junior Broker to support the metals team, based at our London HQ. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established metals team. You will be supported by experienced members of the team with plenty of opportunity to take responsibility and contribute to decision making. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to forge a career in a front office client facing role.
Day to Day responsibilities
• Execute and manage trades on behalf of clients, booking trades across various exchanges
• Understand front to back trade flows
• Provide first line responses to non-trading queries from clients and prospects
• Interact with in house back office and DMA support
• Support clients trading requirements, trade flows and queries
• Maintain good working relationships with clients, LPs and market counterparties
• Help to maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure fast and accurate responses to client requests
• Streamline and automate existing procedures and processes
• Daily administration: Recaps, margin calls, onboarding documentation, client support, ad hoc projects, new business generation and sales
Requirements:
• Office based position based in London
• Recent graduate, second mover or junior broker
• Beneficial to have knowledge of financial markets, derivatives and commodity markets
• You have superior interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence outcomes
Essential Skills
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages
• Highly numerate, with high attention to detail
• Excellent telephone manner, interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work at a consistently high standard
• Able to work in a pressurised environment, well organised with good time management skills
