Responsibilities:
* Design, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Assess and monitor the progress of students, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
* Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
* Participate in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' learning goals.
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a SEN Teacher
* Experience working with students with SEN
* Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
* Understanding of SEN Code of Practice
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Desirable Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
* Training in specific SEN interventions
This role involves working within a secondary school setting, collaborating with a team of educators and support staff. Regular working hours are expected, with occasional meetings or events outside of normal school hours.
