Due to an internal promotion within our field engineering team, we are \nseeking a skilled, highly motivated and career minded individual to join us \nas a senior engineer and provide life safety system engineering works to \na wide selection of blue chip and public sector organisations.\n\nThis individual will demonstrate their existing technical & \nprocess skills whilst gaining a thorough understanding of how Fire\nSystems are required to operate to meet the exacting requirements of its \ncustomers, with our engineering team being at the forefront of everything \nwe do.\n \n This represents an exciting opportunity to further develop a career in life \nsafety engineering with a Company that care. Many of those have earned further \nprogression and now hold more senior positions within our Company.\n \n Initially to work fully supervised learning how to deliver various life safety \nsystem engineering works as directed by the office and field management \nteam in accordance with industry standards and our company procedures\n Upon competency assessment; To deliver various life safety system \nengineering works (Maintenance, Fault Finding, Repairs, Small \nModifications & Additions) as directed by the office and field management \nteam in accordance with industry standards and our company procedures\n Upon competency assessment; To partake in the Company Emergency \nSupport Rota (Typically 1 week in 5) and provide field repair works in\naccordance with industry standards and our company procedures\n To accurately complete electronic reporting in accordance with our \nCompany procedures & British Standard Statutory requirements\n To continuously improve personal work skills through theoretical and \npractical in field and external industry regulated training\n To always present and conduct oneself appropriately given the nature \nand importance of our customers. \n \n Fluent in English, ideally as a first language \n Fully accepting of our outline role requirements, as set out within our \nprospective employee questionnaire \n Highly motivated, Punctual & Smart\n A logical thinker, able to follow clear instructions & methodologies\n Must have a strong desire to learn and be able to retain knowledge \n A fluent and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing\n A safe, confident and willing driver, holding a full valid UK Driving Licence \nwith a maximum of 3 penalty points\n At least 3 years’ experience of maintaining, fault-finding, modifying, \nextending and commissioning a wide variety of life safety systems types \n A good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook \n A general interest in electrical / electronic engineering \n A desire to learn and develop new work skills, always aiming to perform \nat the highest levels, so that they may be considered for future \npromotion and career development.\n\n FIA and / or IFEDA competency course passes in Fire Alarm Design, \nMaintenance, Installation & Commissioning \n Previous detailed knowledge and understanding of the relevant statutory \nrequirements for working on life safety equipment, such as fire alarms, \nemergency lighting, voice alarms, fire extinguishers.\n Previous detailed knowledge, understanding and experience of working on \nlife safety equipment manufactured by Gent, Advanced Electronics, Apollo, \nHochiki, Kentec, Baldwin Boxhall, MultiIfax, Siemens, GFE, C-tec, Intak, \nProtec, Notifier, Morley IAS.
\n Previous experience of writing any Word or Excel documents where high \nattention to detail and accuracy have been required
