About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and responsible Head of Motor Sport to join our client's team. As part of the Senior Management team, you will play a key role in leading the Motorsport Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be working in our state-of-the-art facility alongside a friendly, supportive team. Key Responsibilities: To manage all of the Motorsport activities, both racing and rallying. To oversee the race and rally technicians in the workshop, supporting the Senior Technician with day-to-day activities. Monitor productivity within the Motorsport team You will be responsible for working within the event functions, traveling to all race and test events, integrating the race teams. To coordinate work between programme management, race engineering, the race and test teams and clients Accountable for the Car Specification definition combining all mechanical and bodywork requirements including all relevant instructions and procedures. Accountable for trackside quantities of components communicating to the race and rally team availability and status of parts. Accountable for trackside and rally events parts coordination to generate an accurate turn-around, repair and scrappage list throughout an event. Responsible for technical co-ordination on event, ensuring projects are delivered fully and feedback is provided to the workshop based technical group. Responsible for updates on events, recording component changes during the events (whether this be test, rally or race). Liaise with the Operations Director and Engineering Lead to ensure any technical requests are raised and supported as required. Follow all safety regulations in all venues. Make informed decisions and reasoned recommendations for revenue generating opportunities. Responsible for event budgets and returns, using DMS and Excel. To take lead on all technical bulletins in workshop and on event, working closely with the Engineering Lead. What We're Looking For: Strong technical and project management background in car/ mechanical design / operation / build / preparation / car performance. Travel within the UK and Internationally will be required to attend events throughout the year, and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including some weekends. An ability to work and prioritise within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. Solid computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Office products Ability to prepare and present effective presentations of complex subjects to a diverse audience. Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials. Key Competencies: Needs to be proactive, flexible, organised and able to prioritise own workload.
