We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our clients friendly team in providing high-quality automotive service and maintenance. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Conduct preparation maintenance and servicing tasks on a variety of vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections, ready for sale Diagnose and repair vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems. Utilise diagnostic equipment and technical resources to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively. Perform vehicle inspections to identify any safety concerns or potential problems. Complete repairs efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Communicate with customers regarding recommended repairs, estimated costs, and repair timelines. Keep accurate records of all services and repairs performed on vehicles. Stay updated on new automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development. Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with colleagues and work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals. Requirements: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, in a similar role. Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose and resolve vehicle issues. Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic codes. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Relevant vocational qualifications in automotive engineering or a related field. Certification from the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) or equivalent is desirable MOT Tester licence desirable but not essential
