Description Temporary Contract until 18 May 2025 | £24,404 per annum (Scale C) | 37 hours per week | County Hall - Hybrid We are looking for a Cashier to join the Cashiers Team here at Norfolk County Council to help provide a key service related to the receipting of income across the organisation. This will be a temporary role to cover a secondment. The Cashiers team is a small but busy team within Corporate Income, dealing with the receipting of income received by Norfolk County Council. The ideal candidate should be competent in using IT software such as the Microsoft Office suite, have a positive attitude to learning and working as part of a team. This is a hybrid role, working virtually as well as in the office on occasion. The main responsibility for the Cashiers Team is to promptly create AIM/Oracle receipts in respect of income received (on a daily basis) for both the NCC County Fund bank account and The Pension Fund bank account. This helps to ensure that outstanding NCC debts are reflected as being paid; and that departmental income appears promptly in the relevant departments budgets. Our ideal candidate will have some experience working within a finance environment, an understanding of the UK banking system and the various payment methods that can be utilised for paying bills.
