Role Details The Business Support Team are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Business & IT Support Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be part of the wider Business Support Team, providing administration and IT support to services across the Company, but with a primary, equal focus on: • Acting as the first point of contact for IT hardware management and Microsoft user support (Note that we have an external IT support provider, please see the section below for further details of the IT competency required.) • Supporting the finance administration and invoicing for our traded services This role is ideal for an individual with a background in IT support and/or administration/business support - though a willingness to learn and support both areas are essential. While we have an external IT provider responsible for managing general queries and service issues across our IT portfolio, we are seeking a candidate to support our staff with basic day-to-day queries around Microsoft program usage, and to manage the tracking, stocktake and repair of our hardware assets including laptops, headphones, monitors and phones. Furthermore, the candidate will investigate and implement the safe and compliant disposal of broken or unused IT equipment and phones. The successful candidate will possess good keyboard skills and a keen eye for details, as they will be updating and inputting data onto Servelec Case Management and various trackers/databases. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including SharePoint and Teams) is crucial. Additionally, a good understanding of (or appetite to learn quickly) basic accounting software such as Xero and ApprovalMax is essential. They should be willing to learn more about the support roles we provide to schools and families. As part of the wider Business Support Team, you will be asked to assist with various administrative tasks across the company; from dealing with administration of panel meetings (including minute taking), to assisting in complaint enquiries, meeting and greeting visitors to the company, and covering reception duties on a rota basis, amongst other duties. You would also be undertaking some finance work, therefore a working knowledge of or a willingness to learn online accounting packages would be advantageous.
