About the Role – We are seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join the Fairhurst team in Dundee. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to kick-start their careers in a supportive environment under the guidance of experienced directors and a dedicated team of engineers and technicians. As you progress and gain experience you can expect to be active on a number of projects and with a number of clients at any given time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct engineering analysis and prepare calculations for structural and civil engineering projects
2. Carry out relevant technical analysis utilising design software
3. Provide technical support through report writing and presentations
4. Attend design meetings, site meetings and perform site inspections as required
5. Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors and other designers, offering advice and guidance on matters relating to your work
6. Manage project tasks whilst adhering to agreed budgetary limits and timelines
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
2. Proficient in the use of relevant technical analysis techniques and design software.
3. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
4. Ability to work in a team.
5. Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge through work based learning and self-study.
