We're looking to recruit a dynamic, engaging Assistant Psychologist to work alongside a Consultant Psychologist on a busy acute adult inpatient ward. The mixed-gender ward has a cohesive MDT approach and psychology is highly valued by staff and patients alike.
The role would involve:
1. Co-facilitating evidence-based psychologically informed groups to patients on a mixed-gender acute ward
2. Delivering personalised individual sessions to patients using a range of psychological models
3. Attending daily MDT handover meetings at the start of the working day
4. Undertaking literature searches for the Consultant Psychologist to help inform practice
5. Supporting the Consultant Psychologist with audits and service evaluations
6. Collecting and evaluating outcome data
7. Developing/collating psychological resources for the staff and patients on the ward
8. Engaging in weekly supervision
9. Attending monthly psychology specialty meetings for ongoing CPD
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
