Are you ready to lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced and critical role? We’re seeking an experienced Day Control Manager to oversee our wastewater day control team and manage the resourcing and competency of the wider department. This role is integral to aligning operational performance and expectations across the directorate, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in managing wastewater incidents.
In this role, you will lead a team of subject matter experts, identifying opportunities for development and improvement while fostering a collaborative and people-focused environment. You will act as the key contact for the control room, establishing strong communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Your ability to analyse complex data and provide technical modelling will be crucial in identifying root causes and informing decision-making.
The position also requires you to represent the control centre on a rolling shift rota, ensuring operational continuity and acting as a delegate in the absence of management. You will play a key role in capturing environmental impacts and preparing accurate reports for regulatory purposes. This is a unique opportunity to grow within a varied and challenging role that promises professional development and the chance to influence operational changes.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively. You will need excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders across all levels, alongside proven analytical capabilities to handle data-driven decisions. Comfort with systems like PRISM and Pi Process Book will be beneficial, as will a hands-on approach to problem-solving and delivering solutions.
