We're excited to introduce this new role, as Pre-Owned Regional Specialist, working closely with our National Pre-Owned Manager and the Porsche Centre Network. Job Purpose In this role you will manage and support the Pre-owned business functions across the Porsche Centre (PC) network, ensuring Porsche Centres are managed in line with Porsche Cars GB (PCGB) expectation. To support in the achievement the short, mid term and long term pre-owned sales objectives for PCGB. To act as a Pre-owned business consultant, optimising the performance of the Porsche Centres for the sale of pre-owned vehicles, utilising business improvement and development tools and processes, whilst ensuring both commercial and operational guidelines are adhered to at all times. To work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Regional Marketing Managers and Porsche Centre Senior Management, guiding and challenging progress and escalating where performance shortfalls are not being adequately managed. Core Specific Responsibilities Be responsible for managing, influencing, mobilising and developing the Pre-Owned Sales Departments in the PCs across the network, providing feedback on performance fairly and objectively whilst supporting Regional Sales Managers and Centre Principals to ‘close performance gaps’ by providing consultation and coaching on Pre-Owned issues. Conduct regular and structured reviews of the PC business plan appraising performance against the pre-agreed defined objectives. Complete, produce and distribute Visit Reports after each Centre visit, ensuring actions are highlighted, responsibilities are clear and issues arising are managed through to completion. Analyse the local market on a regular basis (customer behaviour, competitor activity) to provide sound market potential analysis. Initiates changes and create PC development plans where required to support under-performing PCs. Work in conjunction with the regional based PCGB Retail Marketing Manager by inputting into the Pre-Owned marketing plan to ensure local content specific to the Centre is developed on-top of national activity, driving the creation of tactical marketing campaigns to further Pre-Owned performance within each Centre Demonstrate mid- to long-term strategic thinking by anticipating developing business situations to drive continuous improvements in the PCs. Initiate necessary changes and drive their implementation, ensuring that local improvement plans as well as Central PCGB projects are realised. Work with the National Pre-owned Manager to negotiate and set PCs Pre-Owned targets, taking into consideration the identification of improvement areas based on KPI analysis and PC visits. Create and implement plans and actions to improve the PC business and ensure the agreed targets and objectives are met. Work with the National Pre-Owned Manager to ensure that the Porsche Approved Programme remains market leading, suggesting changes or improvements where required. Ensure that all PCs are providing a superior Pre-Owned customer experience commensurate with the objective of delivering a unique ownership experience. Involvement in key personnel discussions and decisions in the PC’s Sales department such as the development, recruitment and appointment of key roles. Ensures the quality of Pre-Owned processes and standards in the Porsche Centres. Understands the content and supports the adherence to central programmes from PAG and PCGB in the PC (e.g. Porsche Operating Guidelines) Provides PCGB with all relevant Centre Sales business performance data in the required format on both a formal and ad hoc as necessary. Core Accountabilities Build relationships with key stakeholders across the Porsche Centre network and PCGB Deliver an agreed level of service to Internal and External Customers, Business Partners and External Suppliers, in line with the Company Values Keep abreast of industry, corporate, market specific and customer developments. To understand and assist in the delivery of Business Strategy and Objectives Take ownership for personal development needs in anticipation of Business requirements Contribute fully within the team, ensuring the right environment is maintained Ensure the appropriate level of management control and system exploitation is applied to all relevant systems Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times Requirements Skills and Experience This is a Field Based role, so applicants must be willing to travel extensively on company business across the Porsche Centre network and to Head Office in Reading Culturally sensitive and able to adapt business style where appropriate Strong Analytical, Problem solving, Interpersonal, Coaching and Facilitation skills Ability to analyse performance data and produce appropriate action plans Ability to negotiate at director level High level of commercial experience Automotive background at management level, ideally in retail or other performance/customer orientated role essential.
