Manufacturing Engineer (Marine Projects)
Location: Newcastle (Client site-based)
Security Clearance Required: SC & Sole UK National
You will be supporting our clients marine department to deliver high quality customer-engineered products and systems that meet tough testing, manufacturing, and project standards.
You’ll play a key part in understanding complex systems and offering technical support to ensure everything runs smoothly – from drawing reviews to problem-solving and supplier queries.
Your Missions:
Execute technical work packages with precision
⚙️ Review designs for manufacturability – tolerances, welding, tooling access, etc. – and flag concerns
️ Design and support manufacturing aids like test rigs, lifting tools, and fixtures
️ Assist in developing assembly methods, including reviewing/approving manufacturing documentation
️ Troubleshoot manufacturing issues with Supply Chain
Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective/preventive actions using proper reporting tools
Support project planning and reporting
Collaborate with local and global partners
Tackle customer and supplier issues and provide clear documentation

Qualifications
Candidate Profile (Skills, Experience & Qualifications):
Degree in Engineering or a Scientific discipline – or equivalent experience
Computer-literate and tech-savvy
Ideally working towards professional body membership and chartered status
⚡ Knowledge of the power generation sector or rotating equipment
Demonstrable experience in an Engineering services company, working in engineering, procurement, site erection or commissioning activities

This role requires the successful candidate to hold (or be able to obtain) a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a sole UK national
