We're seeking a Warehouse Operator Team Leader to join us and drive efficiency and collaboration on a weekend shift pattern. You will oversee the warehouse operations, ensuring the seamless execution of booking in and out, and picking for production. Leading a team of warehouse operatives, you will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to health and safety standards while meeting production deadlines.
This role is critical in supporting the team’s operational readiness for the fast-paced world of Formula 1.
As a Warehouse Operator Team Leader your main responsibilities will be:
* Supervise and lead a team of warehouse operatives during the weekend shift, delegating tasks effectively, ensuring team members are clear on their responsibilities and priorities.
* Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance productivity and accuracy and monitor team performance and address issues proactively to maintain high standards.
* Oversee the booking-in process, ensuring incoming goods are checked, recorded, and stored accurately. Manage the booking-out process, ensuring outgoing items are prepared and documented correctly for transport or production use.
* Coordinate the picking of materials and components for production, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Prioritise urgent requests and troubleshoot issues to avoid production delays.
* Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock is accurately recorded and organized.
* Conduct spot checks and audits to maintain stock accuracy and identify discrepancies.
* Prepare and submit shift reports, detailing completed tasks, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
* Ensure all team members adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the safe use of equipment and proper handling of materials.
* Identify and mitigate potential hazards within the warehouse environment.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with team and regulatory standards.
* Work closely with other departments, including logistics, production, and quality control, to meet operational goals.
* Communicate effectively with weekday team leaders and managers to ensure a smooth handover of tasks and updates.
* Act as the main point of contact for warehouse operations during the weekend shift.
We are looking for a Warehouse Operator Team Leader with the following skills and experience:
* Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and documentation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership and cross-department collaboration and strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic environment of motorsport logistics.
* Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Ensure understanding of and compliance with health and safety obligations.
* Ensure understanding of cost cap rules and requirements.
* Maintain personal high standards of behaviour and conduct, being a positive ambassador for the department.
* Work to quality standards and identify and contribute ways to continuously improve department and personal performance.
