CoEEM is a UK Government-driven initiative to pull together and champion essential national capability in energetic materials which include explosives, propellants, pyrotechnics, and gas generators.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of CoEEM vision and will play a pivotal role in driving this programme forward. You will be responsible for the operations management of non-academic functions of CoEEM which includes promoting and building awareness of CoEEM and providing support to the Head of Centre for Defence Chemistry for the overall management and leadership of CoEEM.
In addition to day-to-day running of CoEEM, you will project manage non-technical functions that promote CoEEM and its activities. This includes building relationships and working with associated organisations to drive forward CoEEM membership and develop plans that provide coordinated research, training, test evaluation and knowledge in the Energetic Materials (EM) community.
About You
You will have a first/second class degree (or equivalent) in a science-related subject with experience of managing multiple strands of activities in either a higher education or scientific environment. In addition, you will have experience of influencing and directing people to achieve desired outcomes, and planning, managing, and delivering projects experience.
You will be strategically minded, but detail orientated, motivated and able to use your own initiative.
