Job Description
Please note that this job is primarily office based (4 days a week), with up to 1 day a week at home.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources (HR) Advisor is involved in all aspects of HR work. The HR Advisor will also be involved in first line employee relations and performance management advice, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The HR Advisor will also support hiring managers in recruitment, selection and onboarding processes.
The Human Resources Team provides a professional HR service to a number of UK companies withing the Gruppo Bianchi UK companies so the HR Advisor will provide advice on several different sets of terms and conditions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The HR Advisor’s duties will vary considerably and will include providing support across Antifriction and any other Gruppo Bianchi UK companies.
Typical duties will include:
Employee Relations
· To be the first line contact for HR queries throughout the businesses, escalating contentious issues to the HR Manager
· To provide advice and support work reviews and change processes
· To manage staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
· To support the HR Manager with appropriate capability, disciplinary & grievance investigations
· To assist in the development of human resources policies and procedures
HR systems and records
· To use HR systems, both manually and electronically, to access, input and compile data and HR metrics
· To suggest HR technology solutions to improve day to day work
Recruitment
· To advise managers on recruitment and selection strategies
· To advertise roles and sift through CVs and applications
· To assist with and develop recruitment campaigns
· To co-ordinate the appointment process for successful applicants, dealing with recruitment correspondence, contracts and onboarding of the new employee
Other
· To investigate and propose new HR initiatives which are beneficial to the companies
· To identify development needs, identify ways to meet these needs and record all development undertaken
· To research and recommend performance evaluation methods
· To provide a back up to the HR Manager for notification of monthly payroll changes
Experience, skills and attributes required
· CIPD qualified or part-qualified
· Proven experience as a Human Resources Advisor or similar
· Good interpersonal skills
· Good communication skills both in writing and verbal communication
· A strong working knowledge of HR systems
· Good organisational and administrative skills
· Ability to advise and work with senior members of staff
· Knowledge of employment legislation
· Ability to design clear, fair policies and procedures
· Driven and determined
· Driving licence would be useful as the businesses supported are UK-wide
