We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their dynamic Science Department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of practical science lessons and ensuring the smooth operation of their laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments.
* Assist teachers during practical lessons and demonstrations.
* Maintain and organize laboratory equipment and resources.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory.
* Manage the inventory of chemicals and supplies, and place orders as needed.
* Support the development and implementation of new practical activities.
* Provide technical support and advice to students and staff.
Requirements:
* A background in science, with a relevant qualification (e.g., A-levels, BTEC, or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a laboratory or educational setting is desirable.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
