An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff nurse to join our small and friendly Gynaecology nursing team on B11. B11 is a very busy ward caring for patients up to 20 weeks gestation as well as patients undergoing both gynaecology and breast surgery, covering elective and emergency admissions. The post offers opportunity to spend time on the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit and also within the Pregnancy Advisory Service.
We are also continuing to develop our Same Day Emergency Care service, providing women with a seamless and quality journey whilst with us.
Main duties of the job
This post would suit a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in women's health.
The post holder must demonstrate clinical expertise in assessment, care planning, delivery and evaluation of care, using a holistic, person-centred approach.
You must possess excellent and effective communication skills for dealing with complex and sensitive issues and demonstrate a kind and compassionate attitude towards patients, relatives and colleagues.
You should have a passion for developing and working with students within the area, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
