Your Role
The Operational Care Specialist Apprentice will be part of a team within the Operational Care Centre (OCC) responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operations, focusing on providing outstanding care and service to our clients. The role oversees the importation process of goods into the country and will involve coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, and optimising the efficiency of the import logistics process.This is not just another job, it’s an exciting opportunity to be a part of something big and make a real difference. Your Responsibilities
Our Apprenticeship is a 24 month programme, combining practicalon-the-job training with study towards the Business Administration Level 3apprenticeship. You will work within a successful team while learningeverything you need to know whilst supported by your peers, your managers, andthe apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.
You’ll be learning how to…
1. Aligning with our Customer Care Teams to meet and exceed our Customer’s requirements
2. Coordinate the end-to-end import process from shipment initiation to delivery
3. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all import documentation.
4. Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and custom brokers to track shipments and resolve any issues that arise during the import process.
5. Address and resolve any issues related to import shipments, such as delays, damages, or compliance concerns.
6. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring clear communication and prompt responses to inquiries related to import shipments.
Your Skills and Experiences
7. The minimum entry requirementfor this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A*-D including Maths& English)
8. Our company values candidateswho are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strongwork ethic, and are able to communicate effectively with others. Good planningand organization skills is important and you will need the ability to multitaskand be a self-starter.
9. Previous use of MicrosoftOutlook and Excel is beneficial.
10. Please be aware that thisvacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship and forapprenticeship funding, candidates must have been resident in the EEA for atleast the last 3 years.
11. This is an entry leveltraining position. If you are already qualified or experienced in this area ofwork, this is unlikely to be the position for you. However, we would welcomeyour application for one of our other vacancies which can be found on our website.
Key Information:
Apprenticeship Contract:Fixed Term – 2 years
Working hours: 8:30am-5:00pm, including 1 hour lunch.
Place of work: outline. Will be expected onsite full time until performance expectations met & initial training completed. If approved, opportunity to work from home 2 days a week is available.
