Key Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer, you will:
. Integration & Deployment: Seamlessly integrate development outputs into release modules and drive them through various stages into operational service.
. Release-to-Service Management: Navigate security and accreditation procedures to support the release-to-service process.
. Technical Expertise: Offer deep technical insights into designs, solutions, tools, techniques, and standards.
. Solution Development: Create pragmatic solutions for complex real-world challenges.
. Incident Management: Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve infrastructure-related incidents.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should have experience in a number of these technologies:
Technical Expertise
. Automation Tools: Ansible, Puppet, and Foreman.
. Programming & Scripting - Java, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform.
. Operating Systems: Red Hat Linux and Windows Server.
. Virtualisation: VMware, OpenShift and Hyper-V
. Containerisation: Docker or Kubernetes.
. Cloud Platforms: AWS Cloud or Azure.
. Networking Fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and HTTP protocols.
