Head of Business Partnering (Adults & Health)
We are seeking a Head of Business Partnering for Adults & Health at Bexley Council. This is a permanent, full-time position based at Civic Offices, Bexleyheath.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Leading financial advice and support within Business Partnering to deliver savings and improve service outcomes.
* Identifying and addressing weak financial management, risks, and pressures.
* Collaborating with directors and stakeholders to enhance financial management skills and tools.
* Managing and motivating staff through effective communication and professional development.
* Utilizing financial data analytics to add value and improve services.
* Developing and monitoring service level agreements, KPIs, and ensuring quality service delivery.
* Handling wider finance activities such as account closure and budget development.
* Providing strategic financial advice aligned with corporate priorities and medium-term financial strategies.
* Supporting programmes and projects with financial modelling, business case reviews, and commercial advice.
* Analyzing business objectives and performance to develop financial strategies.
* Attendance at evening meetings may be required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants should hold a CCAB/CIMA qualification or equivalent, with extensive accounting and budgeting experience, and a strong understanding of local government finance frameworks, including S.151 requirements and relevant codes of practice.
