Job summary An exciting opportunity has come up to join us an Imaging Support Worker (ISW) in our Clevedon Hospital This role is 15hrs per week 8.30am - 5.00pm (Monday & Wednesday) You will primarily working at our Clevedon site however there may be times when you will work or have to attend training at the main Southmead Hospital Brunel building You will promote a friendly and welcoming environment greeting patients attending the Imaging department and work alongside other professional Imaging staff. The main tasks will be assisting patients prior, during and post procedure ensuring their privacy and dignity is maintained. You will act a chaperone, reassure patients and will keep the rooms stocked and tidy. Flexibility is important, there may be an opportunity to work additional hours to ensure we have adequate staffing levels and you will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. There is an opportunity to learn additional skills working towards progressing to a Band 3 role. Assist the multi professional team to prepare and support patients undergoingtreatment and/or investigation maintaining privacy and dignity at all times Chaperone patients during intimate procedures as required Escort and transport non-acute patients with no treatment in progress and/ortheir relatives/carers to other wards and departments within the Trust, viawheelchair, beds and trolleys Be aware of the importance of good health and the health education needs of patients as identified within individual care plans.
