This post isbased at Tilehurst Clinic in Reading though we do occasionally need you to work at other sites or attend meetings within the locality – both East and West Berkshire
We are looking for someone with experience and motivation and a desire to be part of a small but enthusiastic team. You will work alongside theASLT admin team based within Tilehurst.
An interest in ASLT is essential and some understanding of our work is needed to bedemonstratedat interview.
You should have relevantNHSmanagement/adminexperienceand a knowledge of RIO is an advantage. You must have up to date IT skills and be confident in dealing with people on the telephone.
It is essential that you have full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.You will need to be fully competent and confident in using computer programmes to prepare communication aids such as books or boards. Afterinitialtraining you willbe requiredto undertake tasks independently so need to be able to manage yourtime efficiently.
• Supporting the ASLT team on aday to daybasis
• Dealing with telephone calls and enquiries
• Booking appointments
• Using RIO patient held records
• Producing communication booklets and other SLT materials for clients
• Updating all patient related leaflets/handouts
• Activelyparticipatein team meetings
• Work flexibly in response to service need across multiple sites
