Let us introduce the role AWE is currently recruiting for an Alternate Crypto Custodian for the Live Services group. Key Responsibilities: Assist Crypto Custodian with Internal and external audits and musters. Carry out weekly and monthly Crypto checks and musters. Ensure safe custody, registration, mustering, amendment, issue, safe handling and disposal of the Cryptographic Assets held at all locations. Carry out annual practice of Emergency Evacuation and Fire Orders and procedures. Provide advice on all aspects of cryptographic security and the methods necessary to provide the correct level of protection relevant to their cryptographic holdings. Deliver Crypto Authorisation briefs. Assist with the development and maintenance of all documentation relevant to AWE Crypto requirements. Assist with the maintenance of an accurate and up to date system of Central Accounting for all Cryptographic Assets. Carry out and certify the routine destruction of superseded or surplus Cryptographic Assets To support the Technical Service Manager and Team Leaders in maintaining the operational status, and maximising availability of assets to programme demanders. Key Accountabilities: Delivery of security requirements within the Crypto elements of the Crypto Management Plan (CMP) Implementation and adherence to JSP 490, JSP 491 and HMG IA4 for all Crypto Assets. Support to the AWE Crypto Custodian for the lifecycle management of all Crypto items. Be responsible for diagnosing and following through to resolution any problems, escalating to team members or other teams and vendors when required. Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player. Please be aware that as part of this role there will be a requirement for domestic & international travel which can include overnight stays. On average this is likely to be once a month however there will be occasions where this demand is higher. Who are we looking for? Good knowledge of theory and practical aspects of security. Any knowledge of Crypto advantageous. Knowledge of JSP 490, JSP 491 and HMG IA4 advantageous. You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload.
