The Critical Engineering Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of all aspects of Technical Operations through robust processes, procedures, and policies that align with ISS's strategic technical delivery framework. In this position, you will provide essential technical support and oversight, guaranteeing that all Health and Safety requirements, Statutory Compliance, and Technical Standards are consistently implemented and upheld to the highest levels. You will also oversee governance on all company and site-based Critical Environment processes and procedures, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to best practices. Responsibilities:
* Ensure the Safe Systems of Work governance, process and procedure are trained, implemented, operated and upheld to the highest standard.
* Ensure all statutory requirements, governance, process and procedure are trained, implemented, operated and upheld to the highest standard.
* Provide and deliver the required technical support and guidance in the planning of all activities that have the ability to impact the business-critical systems and environments.
* Ensure the effective management and monitoring of closed water systems and domestic water systems is undertaken and maintained in line with the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 & Statutory compliance requirements.
* Ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and all documentation is maintained providing accurate records/documentation associated with all engineering requirements.
* Ensure the Optima Critical Environment Process is followed at all times.
* Provide regular compliance reporting to both ISS and CRES, ensuring all actions are both recorded and a robust process for completion is implemented and regularly reviewed.
* Coordination, planning and management of Electrical and Mechanical Shutdowns for planned or reactive works.
Qualifications:
* Previous work experience in a business-critical IT environment.
* Experience with Incident Management, reporting and root cause analysis.
* Familiar with CAPEX and OPEX processes and expenditure.
* Highly evolved communication/influencing skills at all levels.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to provide detailed reports/proposals.
* Demonstrable experience of producing and analysing management information and providing innovative solutions for evolving/improving processes.
* A sense of urgency in responding to issues, providing clear instruction.
* Demonstrable experience of managing service providers/contractors and internal teams.
* Experience of managing client and supplier relationships to maintain and improve service.
