As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be the key advocate for our clients customers within the organisation. Your focus will be on understanding their needs and ensuring those needs are met in a way that supports their broader commercial strategy. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in managing customer interactions, resolving disputes, overseeing contract performance, and driving overall business profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Relationship Management: Lead site-specific customer meetings, address initial disputes, and ensure the customer’s voice is represented within the business.
2. Demand & Order Management: Work closely with the business to ensure alignment between customer demand and operational capabilities, ensuring smooth execution of orders.
3. Contract & Commercial Oversight: Manage contractual agreements, including cash flow, compliance, and risks, while identifying and seizing commercial opportunities.
4. Change Management: Implement contract updates and manage minor modification claims to ensure smooth transitions.
5. Financial & Business Strategy: Support pricing decisions, bid proposals, and the development of commercial plans that contribute to business growth.

6. Customer Advocacy: Proven success in managing customer relationships, contract negotiation, and demand forecasting, ensuring effective communication and seamless business operations.
7. Skilled Negotiator: Strong negotiation capabilities and the ability to influence and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
8. Exceptional Communicator: Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts, build trust, and effectively communicate business needs.
9. Financial Acumen: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, manage profit and loss, and support budgeting decisions that contribute to profitability.
10. Strategic Mindset: Experience in crafting compelling commercial proposals and business models that support long-term growth and success.
11. A qualification in Business Studies is an asset, though hands-on experience in customer-facing roles or programme management is highly valued. Ultimately, your ability to navigate commercial landscapes and drive customer success is what truly matters.
