We are looking for a Ward Manager role on Ward 36 at York Hospital.
You will provide nursing leadership and work with the Matron to enhance nursing practice, strategy, and manage the ward. You will be responsible for ensuring 24 hr cover for the service, facilitate evidence-based care, and act as a clinical expert at ward level. Support and implement changes to clinical practice in the area.
If you have a strong focus on patient care, proven leadership skills, and are able to work inter-professionally across boundaries, then we are keen for you to join our team.
This is a great opportunity to develop your management and leadership skills. Evidence of your ability to create an effective learning environment is essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and support junior colleagues in their development.
Main Duties of the Job
You will have 18 months experience working as a Band 6 within the acute setting.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to promote a collaborative approach to caring for acutely unwell patients and embrace the challenge of working in a busy and challenging environment.

Person Specification
Experience
* At least 18 months post-registration experience at Band 6 or equivalent within an acute setting.
* Experience of managing and leading a team.
