An Electrical Hardware Engineer is required to join an innovative Aerospace and Defence Systems company that specialises in advanced products primarily for the Aerospace and Defence industry. The Electrical Hardware Engineer will provide design expertise to undertake the Electrical and Hardware Design and Development of the company products. This is a fixed term contract role and the Electrical Hardware Engineer will report to the Principal Hardware Engineer. Responsibilities of the Electrical Hardware Engineer - Provide electrical design expertise, in terms of IEE Wiring Regulations - Knowledge of Defense Standards would be also be an advantage - Produce detailed interconnection wiring diagrams and schedules for Ground and Air Systems - Produce design specifications from customer requirements for hardware procurement - Power distribution design AC/DC - Produce acceptance test documentation unit and system level - Conduct production level testing - Provide hardware knowledge to identify and select equipment to be used within the system - Provide EMC knowledge during the design phase and also at the testing phase - Utilise commercial and defence standards Def - Stan/Mil - Std/EMC Directive - Maintain design documentation using the company PDM Tool - Define Bill of Material and Part Structures Requirements and Experience of the Electrical Hardware Engineer - Experience in electrical/hardware design at system and hardware levels - Working knowledge of UK Wiring Standards - Meet both functional and environmental requirements - Relevant experience in similar role within the Defence Industry would be an advantage - Experience in engineering data control and analysis - Experience of managing configuration and Bill of Materials development - Experience in EMC and design and Testing - Experience in unit and system level testing for acceptance - Knowledge of standard interfaces - RS422/482/23/LAN/USB - Knowledge of Doors Requirements Capture and AutoCAD for Design an advantage - Willingness to travel in the UK as required - HNC equivalent or higher in Electrical and or Electronic Engineering - Must demonstrate a high level of interpersonal and communication skills Security Clearance will be required for this role due to the nature of the products involved.If interested in the Electrical Hardware Engineer then
