The Role
As an ER Specialist, you will
* Offer guidance on employment related matters such as contracts, employee relations, and HR issues, ensuring alignment with company policies, legislation, and best practices.
* Provide specific advice on managing performance, conduct, grievance, probation, and absence issues, overseeing formal employee relations processes when required.
* Support disciplinary and grievance investigations by advising on meeting conduct, drafting questions, reports, and correspondence to ensure a fair process.
* Ensure comprehensive documentation for all HR processes, including letters and reports, while maintaining up-to-date records in the HR system and case management tracker.
* Build effective relationships with sites to promote strong employee relations and advise on proactive measures based on emerging employment trends.
Adaptability, resilience, and initiative are crucial, alongside a commitment to exceptional customer service. Monitoring employment trends and recommending proactive measures are also key responsibilities.
Skills You Need
* At least 1 year's experience with complex Employee Relations cases, including Investigations, Disciplinaries, Grievances, Long Term Sick and Tribunal stage.
* Experience within the Retail, Hospitality or Leisure industry
* Experience coaching and influencing managers and senior management
* Strong commercial approach and business understanding
* Excellent time management, organised, and the ability to meet deadlines
* CIPD Level 5 qualified
