This Biomedical Science position is suitable for a qualified Histology Associate Practitioner South Wales to apply on a locum basis to start as a locum with a pay of £18 - £24 P/H.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform a wide range of histology techniques, including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
* Maintain and operate histology laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols.
* Prepare and analyze histopathological slides, ensuring quality control and adherence to laboratory standards.
* Assist in the management and storage of biological samples in a safe and efficient manner.
* Support senior team members in complex cases and contribute to ongoing research and development.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and laboratory policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, or a related field (preferably with a focus on Histology).
* Previous experience in histology and tissue preparation techniques within a laboratory setting.
* Sound knowledge of laboratory practices, including specimen handling and histological staining techniques.
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
