Preston School, part of the Midsomer Norton Schools’ Partnership, is seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead our dedicated team, shaping the future success of our pupils and school community. Preston School is the long-standing school of choice in Yeovil. It is over-subscribed and has a reputation for high standards and excellence across all aspects of secondary education.
The Role
As Headteacher, you will provide dynamic leadership that ensures the continued success of Preston School. Working closely with the Local Governing Body (LGB), Trustees and CEO of MNSP, you will:
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning and achievement across the school.
• Shape and deliver a strategic vision that ensures sustainability and growth.
• Inspire staff and pupils to reach their full potential through a culture of excellence.
• Strengthen relationships with parents, the local community and key stakeholders.
• Manage school resources efficiently, ensuring value for money.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive environment where every child thrives.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader who:
• Has a proven track record of successful leadership within a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrates the ability to inspire and lead staff, fostering a culture of high performance.
• Possesses strong strategic thinking skills with a clear vision for school improvement.
• Is committed to delivering inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage all stakeholders.

The salary is set in line with Teachers’ Pay and Conditions and takes account of the support and line management received by the CEO/DCEO.
