Shaw healthcare is looking for a Senior Support Worker to join the team at Waverley House in Leominster. You will join a team fully committed to making a difference in the lives of those we provide care for. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our service users, providing the same standard of care that we would expect our own family members to receive. You will be using the latest care technology, enabling you to spend more time with the service users you care for. Waverley House has an excellent reputation as a highly valued provider of care. The needs of our service users are at the centre of all we do every single day.
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll have previous experience working with older people in residential care. You will need to be flexible, patient, caring, organised, and great with people. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are essential. You should have completed or be working towards your QCF 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Your responsibilities will include building strong relationships with all those around you, ensuring family and friends feel welcomed, keeping healthcare professionals well-informed, and updating your Line Manager on residents’ needs and progress. As a team player, you can easily follow guidelines and policies and will have good written skills, as you will need to write up care plans.
