You'll be responsible for a range of administrative duties, from drafting legal documents to managing files and maintaining client communication. Responsibilities:
1. Provide legal secretarial and administrative support across practice areas such as Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Wills & Probate.
2. Draft and prepare legal documents such as briefs, motions, and correspondence.
3. Perform audio typing via digital dictation.
4. Manage Solicitors' schedules, including setting appointments and coordinating meetings.
5. Greet clients and visitors with a friendly demeanor and direct them appropriately.
6. Maintain and organise physical and electronic files for easy retrieval.
7. Communicate with clients regarding case updates and necessary documentation.
8. Ensure all documents are accurately filed with the courts and maintained in compliance with legal protocols.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role.
2. Familiarity with legal terminology and legal document preparation.
3. Experience in audio typing via digital dictation.
4. Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively under pressure.
7. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and case management systems.
8. A proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
The Legal Secretary role will be full-time working in Leigh. Parking is available. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
