Job summary We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our busy practice to work alongside our current nursing team. The practice manages a high level of Chronic Disease patients as well as being in one of the most deprived areas of sheffield. We are a 4 partner GP practice with an impressive multi-skilled and long standing workforce. In 2018, we successfully achieved one of our visions by becoming a training practice to help newly qualified Doctors understand the atmosphere and fulfilment of working within a community setting. Main duties of the job We require an enthusiastic and suitably qualified nurse (training will be consider for the right applicant) who would be expected to undertake the following duties: Experience in Chronic Disease Management, Contraception, Childhood Immunisations and Hypertension Management. The following experience is also needed: Wound/ulcer care Removal of Sutures Travel Clinic Asthma Peak Flow Readings/Spirometry Venepuncture Advice patients on general health care with referral to GPs as necessary. Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician. The Clinical Team consist of 4 GP Partners, 1 salaried GP, a strong nursing team consisting of (2 Practice Nurse (plus 1 vacancy), 1 HCA and 1 care coordinator. The rest of the team consists of Practice Manger, Operational Manager, 2 Deputy Managers, Admin Team consisting of Receptionists, Administration staff, along with a part time Strategic Business Manager (working with the GP Partners).
