What you'll be doing
Leading on the development and coordination of services to encourage community self-help opportunities through new and existing services whilst supporting the locality agenda.
Empowering communities to do more through the use of volunteers, paying for services (community commissioning model), devolving assets and through schemes such as the Lengthsman and Drainage
Active liaison with community groups, landowners, and other interested groups in the provision of services, actively coordinating best solutions around delivery to meet their needs.
Effectively supporting the customer services, and locality teams in providing a positive customer experience ensuring the contract delivers a responsive and needs-focused service effectively managing their expectations.
Identify opportunities and delivery mechanism for increasing support to local communities to empower them to support themselves; e.g Lengthsman and Drainage schemes, community commissioning model, supporting volunteers to take on service. Actively encourage Parishes to enrol on LM scheme and direct them to CCM for works out of BBLP scope.
Ownership of Community Commissioning schemes from inception to completion, monitoring associated costs, raising invoices and liaison with teams for delivery.
Liaison with Herefordshire Council staff.
Who we're looking for
Responsive to customer requirements with positive attitude towards the needs of all stakeholders.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Good presentation, influencing and motivation skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Desire to develop and is motivated to achieving targets.
PC Literate and knowledge of MS suite i.e. Word, Excel etc.
Working in a political environment
Some understanding of legislation around working on the highway, open spaces, and rights of way desirable.
