Senior Consultant - Qualified Finance into the Tech and Telecoms at Goodman Masson
Group Financial Controller | London based | Salary £120,000 - £140,000 + bonus
I am currently working with a PE backed Digital Infrastructure company looking to bring in a Financial Controller to support the CFO. My client has recently been acquired and they are looking to grow massively over the next 4 - 5 years. You will be joining the company at this early stage with the opportunity to build out the finance team.
Some of responsibilities will include:
* Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
* Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and other relevant taxes.
* Maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
* Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to the senior leadership team.
* Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including capital expenditure projects and potential acquisitions.
* Produce regular reports for the PE investors.
* Build, lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Manage team performance and development, ensuring the team has the skills and resources to achieve its objectives.
* Manage the day-to-day running of the finance function.
Systems & Processes
* Drive the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Identify and implement best practices in financial management.
* Manage the relationships with the company's banking partners.
* Assist the CFO with financial due diligence for potential acquisitions.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
* Proven experience in a senior financial management role.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and local GAAP's.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with financial systems implementation and optimisation.
* Experience in managing relationships with PE investors.
This is a very exciting opportunity to work closely with the new PE backers and to learn from a strategic CFO. This role is central London based with entities across Europe.
You will need to be ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified and have a number of years of post-qualified experience to be considered.
