This prestigious private members club based in South West is now looking to appoint a Governance professional on a permanent, part time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join and help an organisation that is steeped in history embark on a period of modernisation and development of its laws, bye-laws and wider policies. Working closely with the Secretary & Chief Executive as well as The Chief of Staff, you'll bring your experience of governance and wider company secretarial duties to the fore in helping to navigate them, all committee members and even club members through this time of positive change. Ideally you have strong, documented experience of working in a variety of organisations, supporting on a wide range of company secretarial and governance matters. Experience of working with membership organisations would be of particular interest. As much as you're technical expertise will be vital, so will your approach and 'fit'. You'll needed to be comfortable operating in a very visible role, one which will rely on you to be very involved in an advisory capacity. Understanding how changes might effect different members and stakeholders within the club and being able to explain and often educate on a level that they will understand. The role can be offered on a 2 or 3 days per week basis or perhaps shorter days spread over 4 or 5 days; they are quite flexible as to be able to structure the working times around the post holder.
